Mother Bear has three baby bears. One day, she goes out. The baby bears play at home. It’s almost eleven o’clock. They’re a little hungry. They find some vegetables in the kitchen. Brother Bear says, “Let’s do something for Mum.” “We can wash vegetables.” “OK.” Brother Bear picks up a carrot and says, “Carrot, please listen to me. I’ll wash your face.” Sister Bear picks up a cabbage¹ and says, “Cabbage, please listen to me. I’ll wash your hair.” The youngest bear picks up a tomato and says, “Tomato, please listen to me. I’ll give you a bath.” Mother Bear comes back. She sees the clean vegetables on the table. She’s very happy. “You’re all littlehelpers²,” says Mother Bear.
