Child: We also have a lot of throwing activities and see who can throw things the farthest.

宝宝：我们还有好多投掷项目，看看谁投得最远。

There is shot put, a regular ball throw, discus throw, and even a javelin throw!

有推铅球、常规投球、铁饼投掷，还有标枪投掷呢！

(1) Discus读作 [ˈdiskəs]，不要和discuss-讨论这个词搞混。
(2) Javelin读作 [ˈdʒævlin]。

Do you think it will be a real javelin?

您觉得会用真的标枪吗？

Mom: It will probably be made of foam and plastic.

妈妈：估计会用泡沫和塑料做的那种。

Child: Oh yeah, there might be a frisbee throw, too.
